The Edible Forest Group is screening an award winning film called “Seed” Thursday March 15, 7:30pm. Club room, Eden Mills Community Hall. All welcome. The film is lush photography and a vital documentary about the culture connected to seeds and the impact of the current huge loss to seed diversity. David vs Goliath scenario. Highly recommended.

The Eden Mills & District Community Garden Club has a long history as a vibrant club. It played a key role in organizing Christmas Bazaars and an annual plant sale. Many of the original club have left the village and now new members are stepping forward.
The Edible Forest: A group of villagers & community club members approached the township for permission to start an edible forest garden at Memorial Park see the Media Release: Edible Forest for more information.
The Earth Day planting at the Edible Forest Garden went well with the RBC grant and employees very much appreciated plus a good crowd of village adults and children helping out with extending the beds with compost, cardboard, and mulch. Last years plantings have done quite well and new plants have been added. It was a good photo op for the local papers and a fun day for many. We are looking to add local perennials . If you have plants that are easy to maintain and need to thin them we can use them in the garden. Herbs or fruits would be great as well as anything deemed edible.
