Earth Day in Eden Mills


Every year we celebrate Earth Day!  Come plant some trees, go bird watching or go on a wild-flower hike.  All right here in the village.  Full schedule of the day's events below. 

Don't forget it is village clean-up day.  Come out and help with the annual clean up to make our village gleam.

    Nature Talk

    Drawdown: Climate Change Solutions-From Research to Action (approx 12 minute opening) Dale Hamilton, of Eden Mills, will kick the night off with a short theatrical presentation of her recent trip to Project Drawdown Climate Change Solutions conference at Penn State as part of her Masters in Environmental Studies at York University. 

    Beautiful Bats! (45-60 minutes)


    This presentation will give an introduction to the life of bats, how they hunt, where the live and a bit about the bats of Ontario. It will also touch on how bats are threatened and ways we can help!



    Helen Larzleer has always had a deep love of nature and has been working as an ecologist in England for the past ten years. She has recently relocated to Ontario where she is enthusiastic to learn about a whole new range of wildlife.

    Donations to the community hall are greatly appreciated. All proceeds go to the daily operation of the hall.
